Question 6
Through the process of constructing this product, I have found that in order for my images to be clear on Photoshop my camera setting should have been set to match the correct lighting for that day. Also, to focus each image on the main part of the model: his face
I found using Photoshop difficult, as I had never used it before. However, I did watch YouTube tutorials to help me familiarise myself with the tools on Photoshop, and used a rough copy of each tool to notice the job each one does.
After making the magazine, I knew how to edit a colour of an image if it is not the colour I want. I also knew how to:
- Make an image have an undertone of another colour
- Edit the size of a page
- Focus on a specific part of an image
I learnt, that media institutions such as Photoshop and Youtube converge well, and work well together.
I also learnt, through questionnaires the likes and dislikes of young maturing adults.
During the process of constructing my magazine, I discovered new ways to make my media product more appealing to the public eye. For example, when editing the front cover, I thought that it would be nice for my model to appear black and white, where the background would contrast as it would be in full colour. However, from feedback from my target audience, I was told that the image would look too fake and less appealing as the black and white filter makes it look unnatural.
